BB Technical Service
BB Technical Service was founded in 2005 as the technical division of Faiveley Transport Italia, with a clear objective: to develop chemical formulations that optimize railway maintenance.
We have stayed true to that goal by providing high quality products whose effectiveness raises reliability standards and reduces maintenance costs.
Our expertise built over the years has led to partnerships with companies such as SPII, DropsA and Mapei.
Today our products appear in the technical manuals of major rolling stock manufacturers and reach customers worldwide, from Europe to South Africa, from the Americas to Korea.
2000/ 2004
A professional relationship begins with SAB Wabco, providing specialist support as chemical product experts for on board systems.
This establishes the technical foundation and trust that will lead to the creation of BB Technical Service.

BB Technical Service is founded
Prompted by SAB Wabco, BB Technical Service S.r.l. is established with a precise mission: to qualify high performance lubricants, detergents, adhesives and sealants fully compatible with Faiveley braking system components.
- 2005
2006 -
Faiveley acquires SAB Wabco and a majority stake in BBTS. We become a controlled company with direct access to research, development and engineering to international standards.
Joining the Faiveley group
BBTS products in Faiveley manuals
With Faiveley Transport Italia After Market we complete the Consumable SW line. Products are tailored to real maintenance issues and included in official manuals. Quality becomes part of the procedures.

We launch our challenge on infrastructure by studying wheel-rail interaction to develop innovative lubrication solutions.
Wheel-rail interaction, laying the foundations for the future
Independence and expansion into the “OEM” market
BBTS exits the Faiveley group and opens to the market with innovative chemical products and dedicated technical support.

2010 -
In collaboration with S.P.I.I. S.p.A., the new “Consumable SP” product line is created for the maintenance of electromechanical equipment.

Partnering with DropsA: innovating lubrication
DropsA’s know-how in automatic lubrication meets our railway expertise, giving rise to a unique and innovative wheel-rail lubrication system.

2013 -
RFI type-approves active gauge face lubrication: Track Lube. DropsA handles production and engineering, while BBTS manages sales, installation and maintenance.
RFI approves the new “Track Lube” system
Wheel-rail lubrication leader
After winning the national tender and completing the delivery and installation of 130 systems across Italy, RFI also granted type approval for the Track Basic system, followed later by type approval for Track Mile - Type B.

2024 -
The Mapei Rail line is launched for railway superstructure, with the goal of playing a leading role in construction and maintenance.
A new collaboration with Mapei S.p.A.
A new beginning
BBTS places chemical products for the railway subassemblies back at the center, renewing support and consulting for long standing partners SPII and Faiveley.
A commitment that looks ahead, built on experience.
